This unassuming small BBQ restaurant in a strip mall was a compete surprise to me and I
found the owners Bill Dushlek and Charles Quarles to be overly friendly and helpful. You
know you are in a real BBQ joint when the owners can pontificate on the terroir of their
smoking wood! The guys at the table next to me devoured ribs and they gave them a 5 star
review complete with orgasmic gasps between bites. I had the chopped pork with 2 sides. The
pork had a nice smoky/ashy flavoured crust from hickory and was slightly moist. The hot
sauce had an extra vinegar kick, coupled with pepper heat, that made the pork seem even
juicier in your mouth. The twice baked potato salad is to die for! The regulars raved about the
desserts which I did not have room for This place has only been opened since Nov. 2007 but
the owners have a long history of cue and it shows. I was pointed to this place by accident
and so glad I was pulled in from the cold rain by the owners to one of the best BBQ I had
eaten in Memphis. It reminds me of a Jimmy Buffet song - ' Get there any way you can'.
